Pantoprazole 40 mg, Domperidone 10 mg Tablet

PHUP D Tablet

PHUP D Tablet combines Pantoprazole (40 mg) and Domperidone (10 mg) to effectively manage acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. This formulation is designed to provide relief from symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and enhance gastric motility.

Composition:

  • Pantoprazole (Enteric Coated) - 40 mg
  • Domperidone (Enteric Coated) - 10 mg

Uses:

PHUP D Tablet is a combination medication designed to treat various gastrointestinal disorders. It is primarily used for:

  1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Provides relief from symptoms such as heartburn, acid regurgitation, and discomfort associated with GERD.
  2. Peptic Ulcers: Aids in the healing and management of gastric and duodenal ulcers by reducing stomach acid production.
  3. Functional Dyspepsia: Alleviates symptoms of indigestion, including bloating, nausea, and discomfort.
  4. Nausea and Vomiting: Effective in managing nausea and vomiting caused by various conditions, including medication side effects and gastrointestinal disorders.

Indications:

PHUP D Tablet is indicated for:

  • Patients diagnosed with GERD requiring symptomatic relief.
  • Individuals suffering from peptic ulcers needing acid suppression to promote healing.
  • Those experiencing functional dyspepsia who require relief from gastrointestinal discomfort.
  • Patients experiencing nausea and vomiting, especially when enhanced gastric motility is needed.

Dosage:

The recommended dosage is one tablet daily, taken before meals, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage.

Mechanism of Action:

  • Pantoprazole works as a proton pump inhibitor, effectively reducing gastric acid secretion by blocking the proton pump in the stomach lining.
  • Domperidone is a dopamine receptor antagonist that improves gastrointestinal motility, facilitating quicker gastric emptying and reducing nausea.
