Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains:

  • Cefixime I.P eq to Anhydrous Cefixime - 200 mg
  • Azithromycin I.P eq to Anhydrous Azithromycin - 250 mg

Uses and Indications:

ROVIXIM AZ Tablet is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:

  • Respiratory tract infections
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Otitis media
  • Sinusitis
  • ENT Infections
  • Urogenital Infection
  • Gynecological Infection
  • Typhoid & Paratyphoid Fever

Dosage:

  • Adults: One tablet once daily or as prescribed by the healthcare professional.
  • Pediatric Dosage: Based on the physician's advice, considering the child's weight and age.

Mechanism of Action:

ROVIXIM AZ combines Cefixime, a cephalosporin antibiotic,and Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic.

  • Cefixime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis,
  • Azithromycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, effectively combating a broad range of bacterial infections.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Rash
  • Dizziness
