TENELIGLIPTIN

Teneligliptin is an antidiabetic medicine used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adult patients.

Teneligliptin Uses (TIARE 20 TABLET)

Teneligliptin is used as a monotherapy, in addition to diet and exercise, to reduce high blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

How Teneligliptin works (TIARE 20 TABLET)

Teneligliptin is an antidiabetic medication. It works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces the fasting and postmeal sugar levels.

Dosage of Teneligliptin  (TIARE 20 TABLET)

oral; 20-40 mg once a day.

Contra-Indications Of Teneligliptin (TIARE 20 TABLET)

Hypersensitivity, ketosis, diabetic coma, surgery, severe trauma.

Special Precautions Of  Teneligliptin (TIARE 20 TABLET)

Paediatric: Data not sufficient. Pregnancy: Safety not yet established. Lactation: Breast feeding to be discontinued. Elderly: increased risk of hyponatremia.

 

Common side effects of Teneligliptin (TIARE 20 TABLET)

Headache, Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea, Upper respiratory tract infection, Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages)

Drug Interactions Of Teneligliptin (TIARE 20 TABLET)

Other oral hypoglycemic drugs, drugs which prolong QT interval.
