AZIGO 100 DT Tablet

Amlodipine 5 mg, Atenolol 50 mg Tablet

DIPART AT Tablet

Composition: Each film-coated tablet contains:

  • Amlodipine Besylate IP (equivalent to Amlodipine) - 5 mg
  • Atenolol - 50 mg

Uses:

DIPART AT Tablet is primarily used for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and the treatment of angina pectoris (chest pain). This combination helps to lower blood pressure and reduce the workload on the heart.

Indications:

  • Management of essential hypertension
  • Treatment of chronic stable angina
  • Prevention of cardiovascular complications in patients with hypertension

Mechanism of Action:

  • Amlodipine: A calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure.
  • Atenolol: A beta-blocker that decreases heart rate and contractility, leading to reduced oxygen demand by the heart. Together, they provide a synergistic effect in managing blood pressure and angina.

Dosage:

  • Recommended dosage: One tablet daily, or as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
  • Administration: Can be taken with or without food. It is best to take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in the bloodstream.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  • Dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Fatigue
  • Swelling of the ankles or feet
  • Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
  • Gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, diarrhea)

Seek medical attention if you experience severe side effects such as allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, or chest pain.

Contraindications:

DIPART AT Tablet should not be used in the following situations:

  • Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine, Atenolol, or any of the tablet's components
  • Severe bradycardia or heart block
  • Uncontrolled heart failure
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
