OSCO D Capsule

OSCO D Capsule combines Omeprazole (20 mg) and Domperidone (10 mg) to effectively manage acid-related gastrointestinal conditions. This formulation alleviates symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and enhances gastric motility for improved digestive health.

Composition:

  • Omeprazole (Enteric Coated) - 20 mg
  • Domperidone (Enteric Coated) - 10 mg

Uses:

OSCO D Capsule is formulated to address conditions related to excessive gastric acid production and impaired gastric motility, providing comprehensive relief from gastrointestinal discomfort.

Indications:

  1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Alleviates symptoms associated with GERD, including heartburn, regurgitation, and discomfort.
  2. Peptic Ulcers: Aids in the healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers by reducing gastric acid secretion and promoting a conducive environment for healing.
  3. Nausea and Vomiting: Provides relief from nausea and vomiting, particularly in cases related to gastric motility disorders.
  4. Functional Dyspepsia: Helps relieve symptoms of dyspepsia, such as bloating, early satiety, and abdominal discomfort.
  5. Prevention of Acid Aspiration: Can be used in specific surgical procedures to prevent aspiration of gastric contents.

Dosage:

The recommended dosage is one capsule daily, taken before meals, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage.

Mechanism of Action:

  • Omeprazole acts as a proton pump inhibitor that reduces gastric acid secretion by blocking the proton pump in the stomach lining.
  • Domperidone is a dopamine receptor antagonist that enhances gastric motility, relieving nausea and promoting faster gastric emptying.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include:

  • Headache
  • Dry mouth
  • Diarrhea

Contraindications:

OSCO D Capsule should not be used in patients with:
