Composition:
Each uncoated tablets contains:
Telmisartan IP - 40 mg
Amlodipine besylate IP
eq to Amlodipine - 5 mg
This product is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This product contains 2 medications: telmisartan and amlodipine. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker.

Mechanism of Action:
Telmisartan: It is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to constrict. By blocking this action, telmisartan helps to relax and widen blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure.
Amlodipine: It is a calcium channel blocker that inhibits calcium entry into the smooth muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels, leading to vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) and decreased blood pressure.
