Mechanism of Action:
Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to specific proteins (penicillin-binding proteins) on the bacterial cell wall, disrupting its formation and leading to the rupture of the cell, thereby killing the bacteria.
